
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
History
Texas
Africa Chamber of Commerce (TXACC) is a nonprofit business platform that was
founded in November 2018 by two young entrepreneurs from Burkina Faso, Mr. Posso Ganame and Mr. Aboubakar Lougue.
The
chamber aims to ease Africans economic integration in the United States
and to boost economic relationships between Texas and the African countries.
The
platform was established to advance the general welfare and prosperity of
Africans and Texans so that their citizens and diverse business communities can
cooperate and thrive through trade and investment.
TXACC was
officially launched on April 22nd, 2019, at the Houston City Hall before the
Mayor of Houston; local & state elected officials; members of U.S. Congress
and high dignitaries from African Embassies in Washington D.C.
